The Weston community is located just off of SR 52 and north of Mast Boulevard, across from West Hills High School in the City of San Diego.

Weston is part of the East Elliott Community Planning Area, which allows for up to 500 homes to be built on the site. The development of new homes in a variety of housing styles will help address the future housing needs of the San Diego region and will bring new consumers to the east San Diego retail market, benefiting the local economy.

Pardee Homes is working with the cities of San Diego and Santee, as well as local school districts, the Padre Dam Municipal Water District, Mission Trails Regional Park Foundation, and key community and business leaders, to help make Weston one of the region’s best-planned communities. Weston will contribute its fair share toward infrastructure enhancements and water, sewer and utility systems, as well as community services such as fire and police protection and schools. The San Diego Local Area Formation Coalition (LAFCO) approved the reorganization of the Weston community into the City of Santee in November 2015.

Pardee is committed to the well-being of residents and the environment, and envisions Weston as a community sensitive to the preservation of open space and natural habitat. The Weston property consists of 204 acres, of which nearly one-half will be designated as permanent open space. Pardee Homes will address concerns for sensitive habitats and preservation through the community’s design.

The Weston community was previously known as Castlerock. A name change was made in Summer 2017 to better reflect the lifestyle and amenities offered within the future development.
